Taxi  

"Taxi" follows the exploits of Belle Williams (Queen Latifah), a bike messenger turned New York cabbie, and overeager cop Andy Washburn (Jimmy Fallon) as they try to play catch up with a bunch of hot Brazilian bank robbers (led by Bundchen).

Gisele doesn't do much acting. She only needs to make faces and portray a sexy and cool image, which is exactly what she does. The filmmakers really knew how to milk her appearances, one by dressing her as skimpily as possible in one scene, and another seeing her fondling another woman.

It helped that she didn't speak English throughout the whole film (and thank God for subtitles) because when she did, I really wanted to laugh. She sounded very much like a German trying to speak English rather then a Brazilian.

Overall, "Taxi" is a rather enjoyable movie. Not memorable but enjoyable. It would never really live up to the standard that was set by the original movie, but at least it looks like it tried. It has its fair share of laughs, action and cool car chases, well you would most likely find it entertaining.

Fake, smuggled caviar confiscated in Iran

Related Pictures   LONDON, Oct 28 (IranMania) – The official in charge of the preservation unit of the aquatics in Gilan Province, northern Iran reported of the confiscation of 59 kgs of fake and smuggled caviar, Iran’s Shargh Newspaper reported. “227 tins of caviar with a fake trade mark were confiscated in a single shop in Astara. Every kilogram of the caviar was sold for 700,000 rials ($80).” Akbar Hassanzadeh said. According to him last month, 99 tins of fake caviar were smuggled to Iran from the neighboring Republic of Azerbaijan. Based on the Iranian government’s rules, caviar deals are exclusively a monopoly of the government and any caviar trade in the free market is deemed as illegal.
